Stars line up for the Bolesworth Castle Showjumping Classic

Sample ImageThe stars of British showjumping will compete for one of the largest national prize funds in the sport at an exciting new event at Bolesworth Castle in Cheshire.

The inaugural Bolesworth Castle Showjumping Classic and Country Fair, June 6-8th, will be hosted by Diana Barbour and set in the grounds of her beautiful home Bolesworth Castle, near Tattenhall.

Despite being a new fixture on the showjumping calendar it has already attracted an impressive prize fund, totalling over £40,000, and thousands of spectators are expected to see the cream of British showjumping compete in the £18,000 Assura Group Grand Prix in this picturesque and special setting.

Visitors will also be able to enjoy  the Country Fair, see the many and varied trade stands, including a country produce marquee, have a go at archery or dog agility, or visit an exciting funfair.

Full details of the event – which will also provide the ideal opportunity for corporate and private entertainment in  a VIP marquee overlooking the main arena –  can be found on its new website: www.bolesworthclassic.com.

The event  is affiliated to the BSJA (British Show Jumping Association) and supports ‘The Catwalk Trust’, a charity committed to finding a cure for spinal cord injury.

Diana Barbour, Managing Director, Bolesworth Estate, says: “We are very excited about the Bolesworth Castle Showjumping Classic and have been delighted with the interest from competitors and sponsors.

“We already have great ambitions for the event’s future and we aim to make this a real family occasion which offers something for everyone, spectators , showjumping fans and anyone else who would like to enjoy a fun and exciting weekend in a truly unique location.”
